Marist is a multi-sport club with a rich history that offers people the chance to enjoy their sport and be the best they want to be.

At present there are ten Marist Sports codes including Basketball, Cricket, Cycling, Hockey, Netball, Rugby, Soccer, Table Tennis, Tennis, Touch and there is an association with Athletics, Squash
and Volleyball. Apart from playing a sport, there is opportunity to be involved in other ways by helping with team coaching, team managing or with conducting the business of a code. Volunteers
are always welcome.

Marist Sports Codes have their management groups. The Marist Board of Directors provides the policies and codes of practice and the Council of Codes helps with the communication flow,
operational process and development.

The Marist Clubrooms are situated in Pascal Street, Palmerston North next to Arena 2. There is ample space for functions and hospitality and there is a well appointed boardroom for meetings.
A gymnasium is available to help with individual fitness programmes.

The Marist Club has a strong focus on its purpose, which is embodied in commitments to players, supporters and the wider community. There is no discrimination on membership and everyone has an assurance of being welcome and valued.

Liturgical Music forms, uplifts and enables the prayer of our community here at the Cathedral, and plays an integral part in all Sacramental and Liturgical celebrations.

We have a large, diverse group of people who form our ministry team, with many ages, cultures and instruments represented and belonging. With strong links to both St James Primary School
and St Peter's College, we are blessed by the giftedness of many young people who form part of our Young Singing Group for the 9am Mass, and the Youth team for the evening Mass.

The Cathedral Organ is played for every 10.30am Mass, and many other special occasions in the life of our parish such as Christmas, Easter, Diocesan celebrations, weddings and funerals.
The Parish choir meets for rehearsal every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month, and new members are welcome.

If you have been blessed with the gift of music, and would like to belong to our music ministry team do call the Parish Office.
